Metals Trader

The Trader will be responsible for managing and executing metals trading activities across multiple markets markets, ensuring optimal pricing, risk management and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Execute metal trades in line with the company’s trading strategy.
Monitor global metals markets and provide insights on pricing trends and market dynamics.
Work in close collaboration with the market analysis team to ensure the company’s internal models are an accurate representation of market trends.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers and market counterparties.
Coordinate with the operations and middle office teams to ensure smooth trade execution and accurate PnL reporting.
Prepare market reports, trade performance analysis and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with all relevant trading regulations and company policies.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of trading experience in base metals.
Preferably strong understanding of US/EU commodity markets and regulations.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Fluent English required, with optional Spanish proficiency.
